Beach trip

Our small little family of five took a short beach trip before Emma started school. We rented beach chairs with umbrellas and just chilled. It was nice and relaxing and a needed break. Since it was just a few days we didn't make it to all our normal stops (no Boon Docks or Pier Park), but that wouldn't have been as fun without my family anyway.

So as I sit here I keep glancing over at the chair next to me. I swear it's Emma and Cece sitting in the chair, but it's not. It's Cece and Quinn. With Cece's blond hair and profile and the back of Quinn's curly head I am taken back 3 years. I miss those days sometimes.
Today is our first day at home in weeks. Our dear Papa passed away last week. Things I have read say to write down all the happy memories while they are still fresh in the mind. Well, I can't right now, it's too hard. Cece keeps asking why papa died and where heaven is. Emma hasn't said a word about it all. And poor Quinn keeps wandering around saying "papa papa"
With all the late nights and traveling Quinn is finally weaning! :) The last time she nursed was Saturday night when she woke up when we had to put her pjs on and we couldn't get her back to sleep. And the big girl wants to go potty now too. I am constantly holding her on the toilet. Nothing has come out yet, but she wants to be like her big sister.
We went to the doctor last week for diarrhea. She has had it for a month now, but doctor didn't want to do anything about it. She said she looks healthy and weighs 22 pounds and 7 ounces! She feels tiny, but is close to average in weight for age.
