Opps! I forgot to update with Cecelia's latest statistics. So sad that I had to delete my latest stupidity (original post).
Cecelia (at 9 months, 1 plus weeks) weighed in at 19 pounds 12 ounes. Length was 27 inches. Both around 50%. Her growth has slowed due to her increased activity level (i.e. getting into everything!) and starting solids. Dr. Hogan said her head is on the large side, but nothing to be concerned about. (just like her daddy and sister) She received a vaccination that they were short of at her 6 month check-up. It was the one for ear infections, go figure. And she was placed on Cefzil for her ear infection. She just crawled over and pulled up to help type. :) I can't believe she will be one in a few months....

Smart litte cookie
Ok, this is a big ol mommy brag, but I am just so proud of my little girl! On Thursday we had our first teacher conference with Emma's kindergarten teacher. She told us that Emma is exceeding in every area. Even in her behavior, she has never moved away from the green. Ms Wheeler said she absorbs everything- this I already knew! Apparently they do testing at rest time with 2 children every day. Emma was one of the last to be tested. One of the questions was to name two shapes. They were cube and sphere. Emma knew them and the teacher was really surprised because none of the other children did. Then Emma proceeds to tell her that she heard her tell the other kids at rest time. haha She doesn't miss a thing.
At the end of the conference, we sat there and watched my baby girl read a book. I was blown away, and slightly embarassed that I didn't know my child could read. She is in the highest reader group. Clint asked what they will be studying in math. The teacher said, they are still learning numbers, and grouping together. I don't know why, but Clint is worried about her being behind in math. Well, we know Emma can already add, so she is ahead. (all the time it's, when Cece is 4, I will be 8, when Cece is 6, I will be 10....)
She ended the meeting with saying that they aren't allowed to start Gifted testing until January. But she is going to keep Emma in mind.

9 months old
Cecelia was 9 months old last Friday. It is hard to believe that she is 3/4s a year old! She is crawling everywhere, pulling up on things now, sits on her own easily and walking holding our hands. Her favorite thing is still to wave and say Dada. She says hi and byebye now. I am pretty sure the byebye is just babbling though.
I can't post any pictures right now because we took apart my computer. :( I miss my little corner in the living room. But it looks so much bigger and nicer without it out there. Soon we will get a new desk and put the dinasour PC in a bedroom. (it is over 5 years old now!) Maybe someday I can get my own laptop...
Not much new is happening with us, yet I am staying very busy. The shower was a success, even though we were a few minutes late getting everything together. That was a crazy morning. It looked so nice, but I was too busy to take pictures, hopefully someone will send me some. Now it is time to start planning the bachelorette weekend (that's right, WEEKEND!) How am I ever going to leave my baby overnight? :( We rented a cabin in Helen, GA. I keep telling myself it is going to be so much fun, but I am dreading leaving my baby.
Ok, off to take some 9 month old pictures....

another busy weekend
Today we took the girl's to the Yellow Daisy Festival. I believe we have gone every year since we moved back to Georgia (3 years now?). I love looking at all the crafts. After breastfeeding on the edge of the food tent while Clint went to track down an ATM, we walked all the way back around just so Emma could have this done:
I think she looks pretty cool. Cece was a trooper. It was incredibly hot in the sun and she was sweating like the rest of us. I finally figured out how to hip carry her in my sling! Here she is chillin in her ride..

On Saturday Nana and Papa and Abby came over to help us paint our kitchen. It turned out really good, I think! We decided on Sage green. Now, I just have to get curtains. This is going to be a crazy week getting everything ready for Kerri's bridal shower. At least Cece is all better!
