A visit from Nonna

This weekend Clint's mom came to visit. Unfortunately, she only got to stay a few days. She met Cece for the first time and Emma had a blast with her. I know she is exhausted because Emma wore her out! Friday we hung around the house and then went out to dinner (pizza at the mushroom place) and then went to get ice cream. Saturday Emma had a soccer game. We were all sweating during the game but then the weather got bad. :( I went on to Carrie's baby shower and they tried to go to the park. They never made it out of the car due to the rain. When they got back home, apparently Cece didn't want anything to do with a bottle! It did clear up for them a bit to make bird feeders and blow bubbles. After I got home and fed Cece we had a Mexican feast created all by Clint. Then today we took Nonna back to the airport and froze our tails off. It was so nice to have her here, Emma misses her already. :(
This was taken at Emma's soccer game.

There were some other exciting things that happened this weekend. Besides me turning old, Cece rolled over (on my bed looking around to nurse lol) and Emma scored her first goal! Go Emma!!

Back to work

Last night was my first day back to work. I was supposed to work Easter, but we won't go into that. Despite being written up on my first day back it wasn't as bad as I was thinking. We were very busy but they let me leave close to 11. We had more people sign in after 7 than they had had the entire day. Of course 3 of them needed stitches(a very time consuming procedure). Cece was due to eat at 10 so I was so worried about that because she only had 3 ounces left after the bottle Clint gave her at 7. But luckily for us all, she passed out after that bottle and didn't wake up until I nursed her and put her to bed around 1.
And wouldn't you know the stinker woke up again to eat around 4? And then 8. Of course I was already up then to get Emma ready for school but she ended up staying home sick again. I am shocked they haven't kicked her out with as many absences as she has had. I think I should have just sent her. She was saying her stomach hurt and then had diarrhea. While I was nursing Cece she said she threw up a bit. But she has been fine since. Meaning begging for candy and bouncing off the walls. I am not getting much done, I gotta get this house clean!! I do not want to spend my birthday cleaning for the mother in law! HAHA (you know I love ya Nonna)

Easter Sunday

"Mom, there are eggs all in the hallway..."
"The Easter Bunny Came?!!!"
Emma checking out her goodies.

I think Cece likes her book!

At Nana's

Eggs and more eggs!

Emma had an egg hunt at school on Friday and she had so much fun, we had to 'play' again that afternoon! She made her duck bucket at school. You can click on pictures to make them bigger.

On Saturday, after Emma's soccer game, we went to an "Egg-stravaganza" at the Baptist church up the road. Emma got to hunt more eggs, get her face painted, jump on bouncy things and pet some animals. She had a lot of fun and Cece liked watching.

That night we dyed the eggs. Excuse our appearance, it was a long day!

Yumm, fingers!

Happy Easter!

These are all from our session at potrait innovations. They are unedited right now. There are so many good ones! The girls did great. :) The only thing I am disappointed in is there isn't a full body shot of Emma's easter dress. Hope you like them!

Old and New Friends

Yesterday Cece and I met an old childhood friend Jacque'line' and her daughter for a stroll around the park. We had planned on a picnic but it was just a bit too chilly for that. We went to McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth. It is an old working Farm that they turned into a county park. It was nice and quiet and kind of surreal being 2 minutes from the mall and able to see the car lots in the distance. Jacqueline (who I will forever call Jacque) has an 8 month old daughter that is a sweetie and so serious. She looks like she has an old soul but is so adorable! Cece loved watching her...
It was so nice to be able to catch up with a friend that I have known since the age of 9 or 10 (it is hard to imagine that will be Emma in 5 years) and see her in the mommy role . :)

3 Month Photos

The Happenings of a 3 month old!

I really need to update this more so I don't have to put so much in one post! Cecelia turned 3 months old on Wednesday. Today we went to a toddler playgroup to meet a mommy friend. She loved watching all the other children. While I was there I got to weigh her and find out how much she takes in. She was 14 pounds even, and get this... she eats EIGHT ounces!! I was shocked that a 3 month old could take in that much, no wonder she has so many delicious rolls!!!
I am gonna have pump at least twice just to get one bottle for her with how much I am producing each time... Oh if I only didn't have to go back to work. ;)

I have some pictures of the butterfly from my last post, some of her on her play mat and my 3 month photo shoot.. I hope you enjoy them! :) Both girls are scheduled to have their spring Easter portraits taken Sunday. I am still in a dilemma about their Easter dresses. I bought two that match but Emma looks really pale in it. I have this one for Emma that I love: but have yet to find a coordinating one for Cece. Any suggestions? :)

I also learned some news this week that makes me hold my girls tighter. I found out that the lady across the street passed away in her sleep. She was 28 years old and had a baby girl that will turn one in 10 days. *tear I really wish I had gotten to know her and I feel so bad for her husband and daughter...

Well, look, a butterfly
Let's see if I can get him

Sun, soccer, and more sickness

Well this past weekend flew by!! I have lots of pictures to share and I will try and get them in order. Saturday Emma had a soccer game that she only lasted halfway through. She kept saying her stomach hurt and she was being all clingy. So we went home early and dealt with a stomach virus the rest of the day. Oh, what a way to spend our 5th anniversary. Needless to say, we didn't make it out on our romantic dinner. I guess that is what parenting is about!
I did get some tulips, steak, cheesecake and a GORGEOUS diamond 5 stone journey necklace. :)
And Clint got beer glasses. Seriously.
I am such a bad wife- I guess I shouldn't listen to him when he tells me not to spend any money.
Sunday Emma was feeling almost 100% so we spent most of the day outside. It was so nice. Clint cleaned up the garage while I chatted with the neighbor lady and watched the girls play (except it was kinda frustrating trying to keep them separated since Emma probably had germs). Cece slept the whole time in her bouncy chair. We all got a little pink from the sun. I am so ready for spring!!
Poor Cece has her first cold. :( Clint and I are pretty miserable with it too, but it is so pitiful to hear her little coughs and sneezes.

And now... for Cece's Turtle fashion show!! This outfit is 6-12 months. I don't know if it will make it through the summer, but I can't take it back because she christened it with spit-up! lol
