Ho Ho Ho!

We took the girls to see Santa last night after some last minute shopping. I was worried Cece wouldn't want to get close to him, but she sat in his lap and was just entranced with him! I actually had to pick her up and carry her away so other kids could get a turn. I didn't get a great picture with the kids both looking at the camera but it was ok since Cece was so sweet! Emma couldn't remember a thing she wanted, but she told him she mailed him a list already. ;)

Happy 2nd Birthday Cecelia!

Cece turned two years old on 12/12. We celebrated her day by going to Chuck E Cheese with Len and Abby and then out to dinner with the whole family. Afterward we went to Nana's house for cake and presents. I wasn't really up to a big party this year but I think Cece enjoyed herself.
It is hard to believe two years has gone by already. She has definitely grown into her own person. With Emma to keep up with, she has some spunk. She is incredibly hard-headed yet very sweet and compassionate when she thinks someone is hurt or upset. Her vocabulary is really expanding, and she finally putting 2 and 3 words together. At her two year appointment she was 25.5 pounds and 35 1/4 inches long. Poor thing got two shots but was fine after getting her band-aids. (she LOVES band-aids, when she says it it sounds like "night night"?)
She doesn't understand yet that is she is about to become a big sister soon. She touches my belly and says"baby" but then does the same to her own.

Thanksgiving in Maryland

So I know it's almost a month late but here are some pictures from our trip to Maryland. We went up the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and came home the Saturday after. It was nice to visit with Clint's family and the girls had a lot of fun. Cece really liked the stairs. It ended up taking us 12 hours to drive up there and about the same coming back. That was interesting to say the least.
While we were there we went to an exhibit called Ice. It was 9 degrees in there and we all had to wear these huge blue parkas. Everything in there was made out of ice and there was even a slide to go down! Of course Cece didn't want to stay in her stroller so here is a picture of her in her big coat. She looked like a penguin.

On Friday we had a family portrait taken. Afterward I attempted to get a picture for Christmas cards since the girls weren't having it at the studio. This is the only decent picture I could get, but it was not card-worthy.

Sweet baby girl #3

Sunday at the Park

A couple weeks ago we took a little Sunday drive and explored a park I heard about. The girls had a lot of fun playing on the playground and walking by the river.

100 days left!

(that's the new car)

We have had a very busy weekend! Friday night was Emma's Fall Festival at her school. Then Saturday morning we got me a new mommy-mobile! I cannot believe I am driving a minivan. It's amazing what kids will do to you. The convenience is definitely worth the coolness factor . We got a great deal on an 2006 Honda Odyssey. (can we say dual automatic sliding doors?!) After spending the afternoon at my mom's we had to rush home and carve pumpkins and get the girls ready for Trick or Treating!

Oh- 100 days until my due date. :)

Falling for Fall

We are happy to announce that another beautiful baby girl will be gracing our lives in a few months! We are excited, and stuck on names. Any suggestions? The baby looks healthy and growing good, thank the Lord. I also have two more days of work and then I will be an honest full time Stay at Home mom!

Fall is a favorite time of year for the Hilleys. We have gone to the county fair, the mountains, Helen, and plan on going to the pumpkin farm in a few days. It is hard to believe that Halloween will be here an about a week. I guess it is time to make Emma's costume. This will be my first attempt at such a task.

I hope you enjoy all the new pictures. (if I can stay awake to upload them all...) Can you believe how big Cecelia is getting!?! And please excuse my fat preggo face...
