Oh, Cecelia is growing so much! I cannot believe she will be 9 months old in a couple of weeks! She just cut her SEVENTH tooth, 4 on top, 3 on bottom. She still loves to nurse every 3-4 hours (at night tooooo) but is starting on table foods. So far she has had soft pizza crust insides, baby peas, cheerios (loves them), Gerber puffs, banana, and bits of my cereal bar. (I know, bad mommy) Some days she will scarf down 2 full jars of stage 2 foods and others she won't eat a bite of baby food. She also started yogurt. She likes it well enough, which is good because she is on some Amox right now. Poor girl has her first ear infection and conjuctivitis. I guess we have been lucky in that, the doctor was surprised it was her first ear infection. Breast milk IS best!
Cece has been army crawling for awhile now, but last week she finally figured out how to get up on her knees and GO! Now she is INTO everything!! She is also starting to pull up on things. When we go to put her on the floor she will get rigid and insist on standing. She is walking holding hands. This makes me incredibly sad, all this big girl stuff snuck up on me!
We finally figured out a way to get our old Sony camera to work that takes short videos. Wish we had it for the newborn stuff, but oh well. At least I will be able to *hopefully* capture her first steps! I am going to try to upload a video of her crawling.
Her new favorite thing to do right now is wave. She will wave at anything, the TV, lights on the ceiling, herself. It is pretty cute. She can say Hi, Dada, and mama. The mama is rare though, Dada is her favorite word. But she is still a mama's girl.
And my baby girl Cece weighs 19 pounds and 1 ounce. Emma weighed 19 pounds at her 1 year check-up.

5 years old
The coveted rake and shovel..
Making a wish
Party time!

Wow, it is hard to believe that I have been a mother for 5 years. I can't believe my baby is no longer a baby. She still has the belly, but all the roundness is gone from her face and she gives me attitude all the time. This age is definitely harder than infanthood, and I know it is just going to get worse. The other day I found a box of Emma's baby clothes that was missing and it brought back so many memories. OK, now I have to move on as the tears are coming. HA! Cece does look adorable in Emma's old clothes. Whatever happened to Old Navy anyway? The styles were so much cuter 4 years ago..
Well, to celebrate Emma's birthday we had a party at Chuck E Cheese. NEVER again. I think I have said that after every birthday there, and then just block it out. I thought it would be easier on us rather than have it here at the house. And Emma was sooo excited for it. But, I am sure every adult that has witnessed the chaos of Chuck E Cheese will agree with me. I needed a very large Margarita after that place.
Emma did have a great birthday and she loved all her gifts. And especially getting mail. Having something for her in the mailbox is even more exciting than the dollars in the cards for her! So, thank you everyone, for your generousity. I am embarassed to list what her gifts were from us, (curious now?!) so I will just say she is a happy girl with her Princess art supplies, Barbie soccer coach, Tea party set, baby my Little Pony, and Polly Pockets. Oh! She also got Kung Fu Panda for the Xbox but we have to check that out first. And Mommy loves her adorable new clothes. :)
Oh, and Nonna sent a huge box full of goodies for her. I think the musical Tinkerbell card was her favorite though.

Cecelia is up to many new things these days, but I will make that an entry all its own.

My Kindergartener

Waiting for big sis.
She can barely climb the stairs!
So excited!
Looking for the bus.
We are gonna take her picture next to the mailbox every year to watch her grow!
Ready to go!
Well, Emma had a great first day! I have to really pull things out of her, but said it was just like PreK. She made two new friends, Abby B. and Abby F. And she saw Christopher from her PreK class on the playground and they raced. Apparently, Christopher was the fastest in their old class, but there is a faster kid in his class now. I thought that was really cute, because I remember racing the boys on the playground when I was young (And only 2 were faster than me!) She really liked her teachers and didn't get in trouble once. She actually said Ms. Odum (the parapro) wouldn't stop talking to her at rest time( in an annoyed voice)! How cute is that?! She used to always get in trouble for talking at rest time. In was tough watching her get on that bus and drive away, but I didn't cry once! :) I might have the night before though...
I will try and upload the pictures again. I was having some problems with it Friday.

It's a schoolnight :(

Well, Emma is packed up and ready for her first day of kindergarten in the morning. I am trying not to think about it, but I do get a little teary picturing her climbing on that big bus alone. Her toddler days are over. Where has the time gone?
Cecelia has a little cold. She is extremely snotty and sneezy. Tonight she babbled Mama for the first time and took a few hand and knee crawls! She is so congested, she might be sleeping in her swing tonight. Which, I went and bought a new one! I found this on clearance at Walmart (45 dollars baby!). Life is good again.

Gearing up for a new year
Last week we went to Panama City Beach with my family. We had a lot of fun and we really miss the beach! But it sure is a lot of work caring for two kids outside their home environment. (The baby especially, you can't really plop her down on the floor of the condo and let her crawl around) It was really nice being able to spend time with my family, even if I think we were all ready to get back by the end of the trip.
I am such a horrible mom though! I didn't get one picture of the girls on the beach or at the pool! I have this nice camera, but I am afraid to use it. Our last one got ruined getting sand in the automatic lens. We didn't have time for any 'photo shoots' so no beach pictures. :(
Cece is really starting to grow up. And I can't believe my first baby will be starting kinder in just a few days!!! On the way home from our trip Cecelia was fussin in the back seat and in the middle of it of we hear, clear as day, "DaDa" and then right back to fussing. I looked at Clint and said did you hear that?!! Emma said "she said DADA!!!" So Clint gets the honor of having her first word. I am not sure if we can count the Hhhhiii sound she makes when she 'waves' at you. She is babbling alot now, but I haven't heard a Mama yet. oh well. She is also army crawling everywhere now. She will get up on her hands and kness and rock. If she tries to move forward she does a face plant. heehee
She is in her sister's old highchair. I finally got it cleaned off and she was getting stuck in her Bumbo! I have some cute pictures of her in it that I will have to post soon. I am off to bed now. Today our swing died. :( Cecelia was still napping everyday in it, so we had a very cranky tired baby on our hands. We definitely got our money's worth in that thing.
