Happy birthday EmmaLee!

We had a busy fun-filled Saturday! Emma's soccer game was at 11 and I believe it was at least 80 degrees. We were all sweating and got a little pink. (well except the baby of course)
Then this afternoon we went to Emma's friend's birthday party where she got to paint some pottery. She picked a turtle! The pictures are from the party.

Cece's reaction to her Jumper

This will be the first and only time she wears this sweet romper. :( Her thighs are just too big, and it's a 3-6 months.

Big day for baby Cece

Times are changing in the Hilley house! Cece slept in her crib for the first time last night. She did so well, only waking up to eat and going right back down afterwards. We even put her to bed awake and she didn't cry at all! She did the same thing this morning for her nap. I can't believe she is getting so big. A very bittersweet moment. I would keep her by my side forever if I could, but she was starting to play with the handles on her basket so that made me nervous.

And yesterday she learned to blow raspberries and found her feet all in the same day! She was holding her feet and blowing away! Too cute. :) I wonder how long until her toes find her mouth...

She finally had her 4 month appointment yesterday. She weighed 15 pounds and 11 ounces and was 25 inches long. 90% for both. She did pretty well with her shots, only screamed for a minute until I picked her and calmed her down. She actually smiled at the nurse afterward! Now, the ride home was a different story. This child hates her car seat. I am actually starting to look at big girl convertable car seats already. :(

Cece also got a new jumper yesterday. She wasn't quite sure what to think of it. Only her toes touch the ground right now. After a few minutes she discovered the toys and liked it well enough. I will post pictures after I go get Emma from school.

Teefies

Check out Cece's teeth. Today we hung out outside and Emma and daddy planted some tomatoes. Cece was grumpy so daddy rubbed her belly on her mat and she feel asleep. Poor girl... tomorrow she gets her shots. I will update tomorrow after her 4 month appointment.

4 month update

Well, Cece doesn't have a doctor's appointment scheduled until Monday, but I weighed her at work today. She weighed 15 pounds and 9 ounces. I looked through Emma's records and she was 15 pounds 1 ounce at 6 months. I think Cece's growth is slowing down, but she is starting to outgrow some 3-6 month clothes already!! :(

Another big thing happened today. Cecelia cut her FIRST TOOTH!!! Her bottom right one poked through today.... no sign of fussiness YET.

This weekend we visited with our old FL friends who now live in Michigan. They were driving up through ATL so we met them for dinner at the Varsity. I don't think they liked it much, but were too nice to say anything! LOL I guess it's an acquired taste. My tummy sure didn't like it this time though. I brought my huge camera to take pictures only to find my battery dead. :( Cece got to meet their baby Daxton for the first time. I can see an arranged marriage in the future, he is a cutie-pie!
Emma also got a haircut, she looks a little older now. My girl soon won't be a preschooler anymore. AND Cece is cutting her bottom teeth already! I can see white spots starting to poke through! On Saturday she turned 4 months old, but stupid me didn't realize it until Nana pointed it out!! I guess that is what happens when you lose track of days. So no special 4 month pictures. :( Maybe when my camera charges I will take some this week.

Spring has Sprung!!

It is a gloriously sunny day today. I wish Emma was at home so we could all enjoy it. I decided to take Cece for her first walk around the neighborhood. It was her first time sitting up like a big girl in her stroller without her carseat. Ok, she kinda slumped. :)
At first she wasn't so sure, but by the end of the walk she was all smiles.

For the last two days all she has wanted to do is roll over. I loved it at first, but it is already getting old! I can't walk away from the changing table anymore and cannot count how MANY times I have had to roll her back to her back so she would quit screaming. No more 20 minutes of play on her mat while mommy cleans. It has taken me over 30 minutes just to write this with the breaks I have to take to flip her back. She is finally starting to learn how to flip herself back, I have seen her do it twice today. At the moment she is asleep in her bouncy with her thumb in her mouth. Of course, as soon as my foot stops bouncing it she will be wide awake. I don't know how I am going to shower for work!

Rolling over

This morning Cece rolled over all by herself!! She was laying on the blanket and I had got up to wash my hands after changing her and I looked up at her and she was on her belly! She looked around for a bit and then got very angry! She hates tummy time. She was so upset the only thing that calmed her down was the boob! Growing up is hard to do... especially for mommy! I can't believe she will be 4 months soon. Before I know it she will be sitting and eating!

Gday

Today was Cece's first trip to Sanford Stadium! We decided to brave the weather to watch the Bulldawgs play their Spring Practice game. Cece was in awe of all the people I think. Emma loved watching the cheerleaders and Flag Core and hearing the band. We even got to see Uga try to attack Hairy Dawg! We met Emma's best friend Catie and her whole family there. I wish we had taken some pictures of all the girls! I fail in my photography duties when I have a baby in my lap. It was quite an experience trying to discreetly breastfeed with a row full of college men behind me!

Please focus on the girls, because I was not very photogenic today! (am I ever though??)

Last week was Emma's Spring Break. It was pretty uneventful, we spent almost everyday stuck in the house with rainy weather. The only fun thing we did was on Wednesday we went and visited Nana and then on Thursday I took her to storytime at the library and then went over to Catie's house to play. This was taking one day at home.
