Happy Birthday Papa

The weather today was beautiful, as well as the company. It was 75 degrees and sunny and we went to Red Lobster for Papa's birthday. Afterward we came back for presents and pie. Emma made everyone necklaces and Papa got two as you can see, "for his birthday".

Here are the girls making cards for Papa. (Emma had a run in with the asphalt while riding our neighbor's skooter. Wouldn't you know school pictures are in two days?)

Aunt Abby is helping Quinn practice her skillz. 13 months old today and still not walking more than one or two steps at a time.

Papa modeling his necklaces and his #1 Grandpa button. :)

Chocolate ice cream is yummy and Messy!

We Love you Papa!

Love day

I recently went to a large consignment sale. These are just clothes I got for Quinn. I got a pale pink Strasburg dress for... 4 dollars!! Too bad I already got her Easter dress! It's the one 3 from the right below.

Ready for spring

I know it's barely even February, but the weather last weekend was such a tease. With talks of snow this week, I am ready for 70 degree weather where we can play outside like this. Quinn really loves her new birthday present from Nana and Papa!

Date night with Daddy

Last night Clint took the two big girls out on a date at Chick Fil A. The girls donned pretty dresses/skirts, Emma got her first hot rollers, and both got a touch of lip gloss. Clint looked so handsome in his sport coat with his beautiful girls. Cece wanted to go in Daddy's car so we moved carseats and off they went. When they got there, they were seated and had tablecloths and orders were taken. Clint said they had an appetizer of chicken minis (lol), kids meal, and ice cream for desert. They even had little books of conversation starters. It was such a neat thing for Chick Fil A to do and I am so happy Clint is such a good daddy to his girls. Next year he is taking all 3!

Growing girls

Cecelia and Quinn both had well check-ups yesterday. They are both healthy and strong. Cece at 3 years, 1 month old weighed 31 pounds (50%) and was 37 inches tall (50%). She is anything but average though, with her attitude and personality. She is finishing up her antibiotics for an ear infection and strep throat,, both of which have cleared up. Poor thing got two vaccinations in her leg. I was unaware that she needed any so we were both surprised. She woke up crying and limping this morning that her leg hurt. :(
Miss Quinny weighed 20 pounds 4 ounces and was 28 inches long, both 25%. She is by far my chunkiest monkey even if her stats don't show it. Dr. Hogan was even surprised after seeing her thigh rolls! She has been extremely fussy this week so that is why I moved up her appointment and they were nice enough to squeeze both of them in. Quinn's ears were just fine, no infection like I suspected. The doctor did say her throat was extremely red and to give her maalox at night. Back to her reflux meds. I had stopped giving them to her about a month ago because I thought she was over it, but apparently not. Dr. Hogan suggested we continue until at least the summer, when we won't have to worry about so many infections. We are holding off on her vaccinations for now. I keep saying we are going to get her caught up but I honestly don't know what she will end up getting and when. I feel guilty giving Cece shots and not Quinn. I guess I wouldn't be a mommy if I didn't have guilt every now and then.
Another exciting thing happened a couple days ago. Quinn took her first steps!! She took two steps to me, then we tried again and she did exactly two more steps. After that she lost interest, and hasn't done it since. I don't think I am ready for her to be running around with her sisters yet anyway. Speaking of which, look what a certain preschooler got into today..
